I loved using the online ESV study bible, and now I love the app. Its beautifully and thoughtfully designed. And it just works. Perfectly. I love it.

Using the ESV app has been a blessing to my personal devotion time. The modern translation gives understanding to passages that have long eluded me. Although I use other helps and commentaries, the ESV expresses difficult phrases in a manner that gives light. Although I have cut my teeth on the King James version of the Bible, the ESV English Standard Version has become another favorite.

I think the pictures at the beginning of the books are a little much. Do you put them in you actual physical bibles? If you dont put in in your real bibles, should you really put it in your app?

This app hasnt been optimized for the iPad Pro 12.9. The text isnt as sharp as it could be at that size. Also, I wish it supported split screen mode so I could take notes in another app at the same time that Im reading the Bible.

iPad support is lacking; it doesnt run in split-screen, which means Ive have to swap to another app for taking notes in church (I prefer a separate notes app over the built-in capability, and I like benign able to see both at the same time). Everything else is pretty great.

Still no os9 update and its really annoying.

Love the features and Im glad to be able to bring an easier to carry around version of my bible.

Love this app. Only concern I have is the font size. It says its extra large, but is not. I have seen other apps have a lot larger fonts. Its very hard to read at times. Other than that very well done.

This is my favorite app to read the Bible in—it has a very clean interface and has very versatile settings that I like to play with. I particularly enjoy night mode and readers mode, which makes it easy on the eyes. All in all, the simplistic structure and feel of the app makes this app very satisfying to use. This app never crashes or fails to do what I expect. God bless!

Great app especially on the iPhone. iPad isnt as optimized to take advantage of the larger screen (too much blank space). Love the reading plans and audio bible integration. Biggest request is more font options. Only 3 options and none are that great for reading (personal preference) especially compared to other apps such as Olive Tree or YouVersion

Would rate 5 stars if search function worked regularly

I really appreciate this app, it loads quickly, does not require internet, and does not harass me about things like leaving a review (which is why I am going out of my way to leave one). This is the closest I can get to having a paper copy of the bible on me at all times, and am now using for my "day and night" meditation.

Many well-known reformed theologians recommend the ESV Bible because it is closest translation to the original language. I love the app. I get to write notes, save verses, highlight, Share, listen, rewind, find definitions right in the app. The app is very well made.

This app is well designed, fast and easy to use.

Good app. I like having the study Bible follow along with what Im reading to provide context for each verse.

I love the app, however, would love to see Split Screen multitasking support for iPad. This would be beneficial for taking notes during a study. It is cumbersome to switch back and forth.

Initially, I didnt like this app because I was comfortable with the previous ESV Study Bible app. But as this one has been updated and tweaked its become so smooth & so useful. Its an incredible gift to have the ESV Study Bible & Gospel Transformation Bible always at my fingertips. Thank you!
