Crossway, can I recommend/request that you develop your line of printed journaling bibles into an app for the iPad Pro? I would LOVE it if I could take handwritten notes in my bible, annotate, highlight, doodle, etc. live right within the app. The alternative would at least be enabling split screen view so that I could take notes in a separate note taking app while still being able to read and highlight directly in the text from the ESV app. Right now Im locked into using ESV.org in chrome so that I can read and split the screen with my note taking (in Evernote) on the right side. However, this method limits my interaction with the text. I cant highlight/bookmark/navigate to other pages or notes very quickly because its online. Thanks for all your work!

App works well... No bugs... Easy to navigate the Word...

A really functional and flexible app for bible reading. The search is very handy, even though not exhaustive. I like the way you can move swiftly through section or books of the bible. I always use it for looking up scripture verses while reading.

Beautiful and helpful! I think it would be better if... 1) the color in the Sepia theme was softer 2) if vertical scrolling was smoother rather than choppy (viewed on an iPhone 6) 3) if verses were not split between two pages when vertical scrolling is turned off ...but those are minor details when compared to how excellent the app is. Thanks!

Its aesthetically beautiful to the eyes and provides all of the features that I need.

Where did the numbers of the verses go? I miss them! Please add them back.

Please add support for split screen. Taking notes/email/sermon prep in a separate app WHILE reading a Bible passage is pretty much standard practice. Thanks!

No study component to this app. I couldnt care less how "pretty" it is; theyve stripped it of the most important element. I paid $15 for the old app! BeCAUSE it had a study component. I would never pay money for THIS app; theres absolutely nothing special about it. If I could give zero stars I would.

Great App -- would love to see updates to the ESV translation, as there are parts that are still too wooden, due to missing the idioms from a past language and culture.

The new app while it has its advantages the old app was by far much better. I liked the commentary associated with the old app.

I love the flow and function of the ESV bible app. It is minimal in appearance, but is highly functional in cross-references and footnotes. The audio reading is well done and easy to listen to. Though I would never replace a physical bible for daily reading, studying, and for taking to church, this app serves its purpose well for reference when a physical bible is not immediately available.

It works well, is accessible offline, has a simple functional interface for looking up, searching, reading, checking footnotes or cross references, etc. The ESV translation is clear and accurate.

5 star translation, but listening on audio is a problem. When my app is interrupted by a call or goes to sleep and then is stopped, it leaves the text where I first was…not where I finished. I activated the text tracking and it still doesn’t work right. I’ll change to a 5 star review if this is fixed (iPhone 6+).
